The staff are lovely but their systems are not very focussed. For example, I had my statin medication changed but had to request a follow up blood test to see if it was having any effect. This should be done automatically. There appears to be very little after care.

Knowing how busy all Doctors are I felt guilty about asking for an appointment because I felt my condition was certainly not urgent and maybe wouldn’t be covered by the NHS anyway. I cannot say enough about the amazing care provided by the nursing staff. From the moment I arrived, they were not only professional and efficient but also incredibly warm and compassionate. What really stood out was their genuine concern for my well-being. They take the time to keep me informed on my recovery they also look at ways to try and speed my recovery. Their caring nature truly shined through in every interaction. They make me feel valued and cared for as an individual and put me at ease. It’s clear that they are passionate about what they do and genuinely care about the patients they see. I am so grateful for their kindness and dedication from the nurses. I will always be thankful for their compassion to the care they are providing and will be needing in the future.

I had a reminder for an appointment that I knew nothing about until receiving it on October 5th 2024 for 11.24am. No previous notification had been received and anyway I was away at meeting at that time of the day. However before that, I arrived at Lambourn surgery for a Covid and flu jab at 9.10 am and everything and everyone were first class. I am though, perturbed about the appointmenr notification that I knew nothing about since my last face to face appointmen on August 6th 24, which I attended. With the covid and flu jabs being conducted at the surgery on that day, someone had their wires crossed.

The practice is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the system works well and access to a GP is easy: other times the wait is two to three weeks just to have a telephone conversation. Getting a face to face consultation is so far in advance that it’s not worth bothering with as one could be either dead or the condition has deteriorated some much that a visit to hospital is the only option.

From the time of my first appointment with the Dr who wanted blood tests done to actually getting a blood test to then to discuss the results was nearly two months. Not being able to discuss my symptoms in full with the Dr as they can only talk about one problem. Hard when you have various symptoms that could be linked & you don’t know what to prioritise. Appointments feel rushed & still it’s not resolved. Although most staff are very professional some lack a bit of empathy to people who are trying to work & fit appointments around work.

I attended for my blood test as your records show. Two days later, I received a threatening letter, which said my medication would be withdrawn if I didn’t have a blood test. Disgraceful and distressing are not adequate to express my feelings. I am so diligent about my blood tests and also was not advised I need cholesterol etc frequently. This follows on from a distressing incident earlier this year, when while waiting to see another practitioner, a nurse came shrieking in saying that an alert had come up for me to have a cholesterol test. She honestly made me feel as if I had committed a serious offence, being almost hostile towards me. Totally unacceptable.

It was explained what they were going to do to for me for compression socks. I was listened to when I said I still hadn’t heard anything from the hospital, that I was most upset that the GP had to give me the news from the scan that I hadn’t heard anything from the hospital despite being on a 28 day pathway.

I am new to the surgery and had issues with providing proof of address etc to reception and the receptionist clearly didn’t note she had seen them - I then had to return to the surgery to do the same thing all over again! I collected my prescription and then a couple of days later received a message asking me to pick up my prescription which I had collected. Yesterday I was supposed to receive a call from the asthma nurse instigated by you I waited all afternoon and I didn’t receive that call. I would have marked my experience so far as poor but thankfully my new patient check went well with the nurse who was efficient and thorough your saving grace! Minor nighles the other things but I think you need to know.

Very friendly and super helpful receptionist. There was a problem with the auto check in so she checked me in with a huge smile. She went above and beyond to help with a couple of questions. The nurse was just lovely. Very caring and put me at ease, talking to me and making sure I was ok before starting the blood test. I wasn't feeling too great. Also, a Care Coordinator had gone above and beyond with a recent referral. All the Drs and staff at this surgery are very caring and we are glad we are under their care.

It took many weeks to get an appointment with a GP so when I arrived for my appointment there were a couple of things I wanted to ask about, because I’m not a regular at the surgery, only to be told I had ten minutes and could only discuss the reason I had gone to the surgery. This made me feel very let down and it was obvious there was absolutely no empathy or duty to me as a patient to ask questions about any worries to this GP. Poor service.

I waited an hour for my phone appointment to then be sent an email saying I had missed my appointment! The soonest I can get another is in three weeks. I hate to complain but seven weeks is upsetting
