Before you can order repeat prescriptions online (or make/cancel appointments) you must first register your details for this service.It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system.You will then be able to see the items that you have on your repeat prescription list and may order online 24hours a day.You will be able to see the progress of your request online. Please note however that once the prescription request is accepted by the practice, it will take 48 hours to process as when ordered in other ways.
We have a dispensary in the surgery which is able to dispense to all patients who live further than 1 mile from the surgery.
When you register you will be informed by reception whether we can dispense for you or not.
The dispensary is open between the hours of 8.30 and 18.30 Monday to Friday. Outside of these times, if you need a prescription urgently you can visit a pharmacy or call 111.

There is an answerphone service on which you can leave a message for the dispensary staff on 01488 674040. This service is checked 3 times a day. Please do not order repeat prescriptions using this method. Repeats can be requested either online, by e mail (firstname.lastname@example.org), by fax (01488 674031) or in person.

Changes to Berkshire West CCG routine prescribing for over the counter medicines
From 1 October 2018, Berkshire West GP practices are no longer routinely prescribing a range of over the counter (OTC) medicines and vitamins associated with minor ailments and short term conditions. The policy is attached above and the link to the CCG website is
